About
Hi — I’m Chak Kakani.
I’m a computer engineer by training, with over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, speaker, mentor, and coach. I serve on the boards of several companies and continue to guide leaders, teams, and founders across disciplines.
But what truly defines me is curiosity.
A lifelong reader and thinker, I’ve immersed myself in philosophy, history, culture, political science, economics, finance, and systems. That cross-disciplinary lens shapes everything I write.

Welcome to chiptechtalk
This is where I explore the infrastructure powering the AI era—starting at the foundation: semiconductor chips. But I don’t stop there.
From fabs to foundries, GPUs to gigawatts, I decode the real stack beneath the hype—the invisible architecture that enables modern intelligence:
Chips
Compute
Energy
Data centers
Trade routes
Geopolitical choke points
Industrial policy
And that’s not all.
I’ll also write about LLMs, chatbots, and applications further up the stack—offering end-to-end analysis of all aspects of the AI ecosystem.
✍️ AI Writing Policy
I use AI as a research assistant and thinking partner—to explore sources, test ideas, and occasionally outline concepts. But every article you read here is written by me.
You won’t find AI-generated fluff designed to chase clicks or game the algorithm. Instead, I prioritize original insight, first-principles analysis, and authentic voice. My aim is not just to inform, but to add real value—through thinking you can trust.
This publication is built on clarity, not clutter, and signal, not noise. AI may support the process, but the ideas, conclusions, and words are mine.
That’s my promise to you.
Whether you're just curious, funding the future, building products, writing code, or shaping policy—this is your signal.
Let’s explore the deep stack together.
P.S. I also write two other publications you may enjoy:
👉 craft.kakani.co: On leadership, team building, coaching, mentorship, sales, and personal development.
👉 kakani.co: A space for culture, philosophy, art, history, and timeless ideas.
